Managing Chaos to Achieve Measurable Performance Results

Many of us have heard of Chaos Theory, but would say it belongs strictly to the realm of science. So, you may be surprised that it can offer us insight into learning behavior in the work place.
Chaos Theory is the fascinating mathematical prediction of long-term patterns in our physical world. Interestingly enough, it can also be applied conceptually to the workplace. For example, if we look at the seemingly infinite number of individual employee behaviors, things appear chaotic. We may not be able to see any common thread that runs between them. But, in viewing behavior over long periods of time, we can construct patterns to help explain and predict employee performance outcomes.

Keep Track of Training Outcomes
Consider looking at your own organization from a more detailed perspective and over a longer time frame. To affect change and improvement, you'll need the ability to track and measure specific training interventions in detail. And you'll want to track it for long enough so you can see what actual impact training has on job performance.

But how do you do this?
